The annual South Atlantic Conference Singles Retreat will occur on October 29-31, 2010 at Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center in Lake Junaluska, NC. In addition to what is listed below, please refer to the flyer located in the Elease C. Drummond room of Northeast Seventh-day Adventist Church. Greetings and Happy Sabbath! I came across a page entitled "GC Events" that features concerts, activities and programs occurring in Atlanta, GA during the 59th General Conference Session. These events are independent from the actual General Conference Sessions so please make note of this. The links to the pages are on the bottom right side of this blog under the title "Worthy Websites." I've also included a link to a Singles Leadership Conference that will occur during the GC session that is sponsored by the General Conference.

I am excited about attending this spirit-filled, historical event! Please support this event in prayer by asking God to pour out his Holy Spirit on his people that we may do his will in all things. Be blessed and hope to see you at GC!!

What's up everyone!! It's been a while since I've been on here but that's only because me and a ton of our singles have been busy ministering to the flock and anyone who needs it! As many of you know, Northeast is a constituent of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and every few years, the denomination comes together to reflect on where we are in our ministry and what God's plans are for us. Workshops, training and worship services are held to achieve this special goal. This year, we invite you to join us and experience the power that comes from being on one accord with fellow believers from around the world who are wanting to know God in a special way. This message is for those of you who especially enjoy gospel music! I attended a recording at John P. Kee's church a couple weeks ago and he announced that my favorite young adult choir, "J.J. Hairston and Youthful Praise" will be in concert on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. I've attached a link to their website below. Great music for those who love gospel choirs! This group is FIYA!!! Tickets are $10 in advance and at the door. You may purchase them at New Life Fellowship Center (Stellar Award Winner, Pastor John P. Kee's church).

"Got Books?" Service Project

Want to share your old inspirational books as a ministry to others? How about past Sabbath School lessons, Ellen G. White books, Review and Herald books, devotionals or maybe even Bibles? As long as it's in good condition, we'd love to have it. Now is the time to start collecting your books as if you are "spring cleaning." The goal of this project is to distribute as many inspirational materials to the community as possible so that everyone can taste and see that the Lord is good!

The "community" includes any of the following: neighbors, coworkers, friends, family, former church members, students or ANYONE who could use them.

This service project will be ongoing and will begin April 5, 2009 so please begin distributing your books to any of the above mentioned people and share your testimony at our next meeting (TBA).

Christian Singles Mixer

Upcoming Events: On Saturday, February 14, 2009 we will host a Christian Singles Mixer for single adults in the area. The mixer will consist of light refreshments, games and social activities.
